Joe Marsh is a writer based in the Derbyshire Dales.

His work for the theatre has been produced at venues across London including Omnibus Theatre, Finborough Theatre, Theatre 503, Southwark Playhouse and Old Red Lion Theatre. His most recent play Shame Circle was longlisted for the Bruntwood Prize 2019, for BBC Script Room Drama 2020, and for the Theatre Uncut Political Playwriting Award 2021, and his play Mike was one of the top 20 plays of the Papatango Prize 2019 (as Mogg’s War). The Glass Will Shatter was also longlisted for the Papatango Prize in 2017.

Joe also writes poetry and his debut pamphlet Moo-Ha-Ha was longlisted by Full House Literary in 2023 and his work has been featured by Osmosis Press and Anthropocene.

Joe has been playwright on attachment at Finborough Theatre, writer-in-residence for First Story and lead writer for Writing East Midlands Ashbourne Young Writers Group.
